Dissertation Research Project:"Perception, categorization, and attitudes of a regional dialect: la Tonada Cordobesa"
My research on the Spanish of Córdoba, Argentina looks at the prosodic factors contributing to the perception of this regional dialect, by Argentines from the same region and from the Buenos Aires region. In addition to defining the acoustic characteristics of the Tonada Cordobesa, my study examined the attitudes between these listener groups, and how they are influenced by linguistic variation,
